Daoist and Yijing cosmology informs the development
of the six channel theory. These origins provide
insight into the channels that are a fundamental
expression of yin and yang. The existential importance
of the six channel model is discussed in terms of
the construction of self. Further, the extension of the
pulse diagnosis theory of Wang will directly inform
acupuncture methods. Upon completing this session,
participants will be able to identify the six channel
pulses of Wang as interpreted by Dr. Morris. The easily
understood methodology is based on volume. The six
channel pulse diagnosis of the tai yang, yang ming,
shao yang, tai yin, shao yin, and jue yin is found in
Chapter 10 of the Pulse Classic (Mai Jing). |
