Human physical / emotional / psychological growth and development have been scientifically, and even at times rigorously, investigated. Where does the transpersonal fit into a developmental model, especially for those who are over the age of 60? As the so-called baby-boomers find themselves in the passage that facilitates their moving into what has been viewed as the age of wisdom, how do developmental considerations enable us to understand that unfolding process? Some say that the best has been reserved for last. This presentation may reinforce that perspective, based as it is on seeing the transpersonal as that which can unfold during the last stages of human life development. And, finally, to what (during the last stages of human development) does the transpersonal lead?
