Intergenerational Transfer of Trauma Maureen Katz

Torture, genocide, state terror are all tools to intimidate and attack the lives and minds of populations as well as individuals. The scars left on the psyches of those who survive last much longer and reach further than just the generation on whom they are imposed. This workshop looks as specific examples and a general psychoanalytic theoretical framework to understand some aspects of the transmission of trauma due to these acts.
