I Came, I Shopped, Now What? Harvey, Peterson, Rahim, Teish

Many of us green-loving people have collected stockpiles of eco-goody bags and flown to green conferences in other cities. In our culture, so much of our personal fulfillment is sought from obtaining the next cool, green gadget. It’s no surprise that many of us are hungering for a deeper way to serve the sustainability movement. Explore how we might replace the “story of stuff” with a new “story of service.” Founder and executive director of Oakland Food Connection, Harvey has more than 15 years of experience working with local nonprofits, the food industry and the military industrial complex. A community educator and music producer in Oakland, CA, Peterson is a cofounder and director of the Turf Unity Music Program. Fluent in all aspects of tea, Rahim, chief marketing officer at Numi, heads all marketing efforts including package design. Author of several books on African and African American spiritual culture and the feminist myth, Teish is a writer, speaker, teacher, performer, ritual priestess, event planner, space designer, editor and personal coach.
