| Launched at PollenNation’s Bee-In event at Grace Cathedral in May 2007, the Social Prophet Choir activates the human hive and is a bio-mimetic response to nature’s call for harmony. This evolutionary vocal convergence of Bay Area activists and eco all-stars was founded by Amira Diamond to bring joy into the movement for change in the world. The Choir’s name was inspired by Lynne Twist’s observation that the nonprofit sector is actually the “social” profit sector, a community of social prophets. Choir members include leaders from Green for All, Global Exchange, Communitree, Art in Action, GreenHome, Panchamama Alliance, Bay Localize, Transcendentist, Current.com, Free Range Studios, Women’s Earth Alliance and more. |
