Electromagnetic Pollution: Maintaining Health Carrie Hyman, Lac, OMD

Dr. Andrew Weil made the cover of TIME last year. He warned that electromagnetic pollution poses the greatest threat to human health in the 21st Century. EMF's/EMR (electromagnetic frequencies or radiation) are a threat that is invisible to the eye and undetectable to our senses; it is tasteless and odorless. Our skins don't register its presence and we remain largely oblivious to the silent hum of its toxic frequencies. There is, however, a mounting body of scientific evidence indicating that despite the enormous convenience provided by wireless and wired technology, the total bioaccumulative exposure may prove to have disastrous effects on public health around the world. EMF's are already being linked to various stress induced responses in the body such as sleep disruption, headaches, brain-fog, anxiety, depression as well as autism, ADD, Parkinson's, Alzheimer's, various benign and malignant tumors including acoustic neuromas, parotid and malignant brain tumors. Precisely what is electromagnetic pollution? Where does it come from? What is the mechanism of harm caused by EMF/ EMR to living tissue? And, finally, what can we do to reduce our exposure, mitigate its effects and promote radiant health in the wireless age?
