Among women, the three most common cancers are lung, breast and colorectal in developed countries and breast, cervical and stomach cancer in developing countries. About 465,000 women died of breast cancer in 2008, making it the leading cause of cancer death among women worldwide. Proactive prevention strategies along with integrated treatment offer the opportunity for increased survival and quality of life for people diagnosed with breast cancer. This presentation will explore various evidence-based naturopathic and integrative approaches for breast cancer prevention and treatment. The attendee should gain practical tools for immediate clinical application as well as an appreciation for the biomolecular framework of natural integrative prevention and treatment strategies.
