(S6) From Timbuktu to Santa Cruz, from Segou to Selma: What Does It Mean to Be a Global Citizen?—Coumba Touré Coumba Touré has participated in and been instrumental in facilitating hundreds of educational workshops, gatherings, and struggles for social change around the world. In this session, she welcomes you into an exciting conversation about bridging divides and navigating through the diverse worlds on our interconnected planet. Coumba Touré is an educator, change-maker, writer, artist, and speaker who focuses on popular education as a means to spread social justice. She has facilitated hundreds of educational workshops worldwide on gender, race, economic justice, AIDS, and advocacy. She is currently a representative for Ashoka, the world's largest network of social entrepreneurs, and is based in Dakar, in the Sahel region in West Africa.
