| Dr. Fisher is the editor of Homeopathy, the leading academic journal in the field, and the only homeopathy journal indexed in
Medline. He is also Clinical Director of the Royal London Homoeopathic Hospital, which has just completed a $37 million makeover to transform it into a 21st century center for homeopathy and other forms of complementary and alternative medicine.
Dr. Fisher will provide a “state of the art” review of homeopathic research, including basic sciences research, double-blind
placebo-controlled studies, and clinical outcomes studies. He will discuss the problems inherent in conducting good research
on homeopathy, the problems that can result when researchers who lack knowledge of homeopathy thereby create research
designs that set up homeopathy to fail, and ways to reduce these problems. He will also review recent cost effectiveness
studies involving homeopathic treatment. |
