| A PowerPoint presentation and discussion of how the creationist ‘intelligent design’ (ID) movement is an affront to both religion and science. This workshop covers a brief history of the religion vs. evolution conflict, why ID claims fail, goals and strategy of the ID movement, recent defeats of creationism in the courts, and current status of the conflict. The workshop includes audience participation in discussion of how different worldviews influence the acceptance of science and why most religions find no conflict, including many mainstream denominations. |
