| This session will focus on the film “The Secret” and explore the power of attraction in the spiritual life. We often pray for the things we want and then life takes a different turn and our prayers remain unmet. Sometimes those on the spiritual path are subjected to suffering and ridicule by society. Is there a paradox between being on the spiritual path and wanting a new Mercedes? Are there times when what we want is not what we need? Is it ever the case that suffering is a just reward for the righteous? Is “The Secret” speaking truth or offering false hope? |
